The drawer insert that sorts forks from knives. Warped or stained trays rattle and trap crumbs — measure the drawer, drop in a new one.

Steps

1. 1Empty the drawer and measure its interior width and depth.
2. 2Pick bamboo (durable, no plastic smell) or expandable plastic to fit.
3. 3Drop the tray in and confirm the drawer closes without rubbing.
4. 4Re-sort flatware and bin the old tray.

Maintenance

Remove and hand-wash quarterly — crumbs accumulate under every slot. (Suggested interval: every 3 months.)
